Tias is a sleepy little village on a hill about three miles back from the seafront of Puerto del Carmen.
Although there are several good restaurants, bank, pharmacy, bakery, supermarkets etc. in Tias itself,
a car is probably a good idea if you want to visit Puerto del Carmen or explore the island at leisure.
